IMC Catering – Terms of Service – Updated June 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By ordering catering services from I.M.C. Catering (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not place an order. These terms govern the provision of catering services, including the delivery and setup of food and beverages.
2. Service Description
I.M.C. Catering provides professional catering services for corporate events, private functions, family gatherings, and special occasions within the Greater Toronto Area. Our services include the preparation, delivery, setup, and presentation of food and beverages according to menu selections and specifications agreed upon with each client.
3. Booking & Quotation
A quotation provided by I.M.C. Catering is valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated in writing. All quotations are estimates based on the information provided at the time of inquiry. To confirm a catering event, a completed booking form and minimum 50% deposit are required. A confirmed booking is binding on both parties.
4. Pricing & Payment
Prices are quoted per person, package, or item as specified. All prices are subject to applicable HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) unless stated otherwise. A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is due in full 7 business days before the event date. Payment methods include cash, cheque, credit card, and electronic transfer. Prices are subject to change if event details are modified more than 7 days prior to the event date.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be provided in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
• Cancellation more than 15 days before delivery/pickup: Full refund minus 5% administrative fee
• Cancellation 7-15 days before delivery/pickup: 50% refund
• Cancellation less than 7 days before delivery/pickup: 100% of deposit forfeited
• Cancellation within 48 hours of the event: Full payment due, no refund
6. Menu & Customization
Menu selections must be finalized at least 10 business days before your event. We accommodate special dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-free) with advance notice of at least 7 days. Additional charges may apply for specialized or custom menu requests. Substantial menu changes within 7 days of the event may not be accommodated.
7. Guest Count & Final Numbers
Final guest count must be confirmed in writing 7 business days before the event. You will be charged for the higher of the estimated or final confirmed guest count. Any increase in guest count within 7 days will incur a 15% surcharge. Minimum guest counts apply to certain catering packages—refer to your booking confirmation for details.
8. Delivery & Setup
Delivery is available within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Delivery fees and setup charges are outlined in your quotation. Setup typically includes placement of food and beverages in the manner agreed upon. The venue must be accessible, clean, and prepared for our arrival. The client is responsible for providing adequate table and refrigeration space. Delivery time windows are approximate; exact times will be confirmed 24 hours before the event.
9. Liability & Damage
I.M.C. Catering assumes no responsibility for damage or injury caused by your guests or venue conditions. We are not liable for losses resulting from the client’s cancellation, modification, or non-payment. Our liability is limited to the value of services paid for. Clients are responsible for ensuring that their venue is suitable and safe for catering operations.
10. Allergens & Food Safety
Please inform us of all known allergens and dietary restrictions at the time of booking. While we take allergen concerns seriously, our kitchens are not allergen-free environments and cross-contamination is possible. We follow industry-standard food safety practices. The client assumes responsibility for communicating allergen concerns to all guests.
11. Equipment & Rentals
Unless explicitly included in your package, serving equipment, linens, dishware, and glassware are not provided by I.M.C. Catering. If rentals are included, they remain the property of I.M.C. Catering and must be returned in their original condition. Damage to rental items will be charged to the client.
12. Weather & Outdoor Events
For outdoor events, I.M.C. Catering will make every effort to accommodate service under reasonable weather conditions. In cases of severe weather or unsafe conditions, I.M.C. Catering reserves the right to modify the setup or reschedule the event. The client will be notified as soon as possible in such circumstances.
13. Photographs & Use of Images
I.M.C. Catering may photograph your event for portfolio and marketing purposes. If you prefer not to have your event photographed, please notify us in writing at the time of booking.
14. Compliance with Laws
The client is responsible for ensuring that the event complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including liquor licensing laws (if applicable). I.M.C. Catering is not responsible for the client’s or guests’ non-compliance with legal requirements.
15. Modifications & Additions
Requests for modifications or additions to your booking must be made in writing. If approved, additional charges may apply. Modifications requested within 7 days of the event may not be accommodated.
16. Communication
All communications regarding your booking should be directed to I.M.C. Catering via the contact information provided. Email confirmations and written agreements supersede verbal discussions.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service, along with your signed booking form and quotation, constitute the entire agreement between you and I.M.C. Catering. Any modifications must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
18. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
